Seahaven Community Food Charity Race Night | Main Hall, Community House, Peacehaven | 6:30pm | £5 tickets
Come and have a flutter on some (fake) horses at the Seahaven Community Food charity race night, hosted by the Mayor of Peacehaven, raising money for their community supermarkets in Newhaven and Peacehaven.
Tickets include food (chicken or vegan curry). Bar available on the night. Tables of up to 6.

Right to Food UK Conference: ‘Hunger is a political choice’ | 35 Marylebone Road London NW1 5LS | 9am–5pm
Conference explores social and economic changes needed to tackle disparities in power and that would support food sovereignty and food democracy. It examines how to embed right to food across policy so to tackle the nutritional inequalities which impact health of children, racialised minorities and most vulnerable people.

Wellbeing in Nature Course | Lovebrook, Kingston near Lewes | Thursdays, 10:30am–1pm | Free
A fully-funded 6-week wellbeing in nature course at Lovebrook open to anyone that might it find beneficial to spend some time in nature tending to their emotional and physical wellbeing.
Experience a range of outdoor well-being practices including mindfulness, walking, planting, harvesting and nature connection. There will be supported conversations and check-ins. Participants will need enough physical fitness to be in an outdoor environment for the majority of the session. All practices will be invitational; no one is expected to participate in any more than they feel comfortable with.

A new Sussex Mayor: putting food in the middle of the table | Online webinar | 2–4pm
This event, launching the Sussex Alliance of Food Partnerships, will look at what can be gained from viewing the challenges and opportunities of the new Sussex Mayor’s responsibilities through the lens of food. It will bring together people from across East Sussex, Mid-Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove to consider how the excellent food work already happening in the region can be enhanced and ask what more needs to be done to address the challenges we face. All representatives from food system welcome.

A free online workshop for staff and volunteers working in community food support to share your experiences of what support is lacking, identify what needs to change to make food support more sustainable for the people delivering it, and explore ideas for a Charter of Rights that protects the dignity, safety and wellbeing of those working in food support.
