Rodmell Food Forest Volunteer Day | 10am-5pm (drop in sessions, 3 hours minimum).

Volunteering sessions open to all. Learn about food cultivation, forest gardening, low-impact living and permaculture design. A big hearty organic vegetarian lunch is included as a thank you for your efforts.

Lovebrook Farm Saturdays. Visit the local and organic farm shop and café from 9am-3pm. The whole family can join in seasonal nature activities, crafting, planting, nature connection and farm fun between 12-2pm. You can also take advantage of £5 drop-in sauna sessions between 10am-2pm

A new Sussex Mayor: putting food in the middle of the table | Online webinar | 2–4pm

This event, launching the Sussex Alliance of Food Partnerships, will look at what can be gained from viewing the challenges and opportunities of the new Sussex Mayor’s responsibilities through the lens of food. It will bring together people from across East Sussex, Mid-Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove to consider how the excellent food work already happening in the region can be enhanced and ask what more needs to be done to address the challenges we face. All representatives from food system welcome.

A free online workshop for staff and volunteers working in community food support to share your experiences of what support is lacking, identify what needs to change to make food support more sustainable for the people delivering it, and explore ideas for a Charter of Rights that protects the dignity, safety and wellbeing of those working in food support.
